The fabric is extremely light, just 165 grams per square meter, but hard wearing thanks to 64% Cordura® yarns. The 10% elastane gives it four-way stretch. Not only does it dry quickly, but the water-repellent fabric treatment means it sheds light rain and stays cleaner. The cut is slightly looser so it moves with you, never restricting. Yet the adjustable webbing belt at the waist lets you lock it in place so it won't slide down. With the ultimate trail short you should never feel too hot, so you can open up the zippered ventilation openings that run the full length of the legs, made to work with the mesh legs of the Castelli Unlimited Ultimate Liner.
